Whether you are seeking therapy or an autism or ADHD assessment, you can meet with Dr Kylie Sotheren online, without travelling to a consulting room.

What is telehealth?

Telehealth means attending your appointment through a video call—or, in some cases, by telephone where appropriate.

You and Kylie can see and speak with each other, discuss your experiences and work together from different locations.

Online appointments bring psychological care closer to home—particularly if you live regionally, find travel difficult, or need appointments to fit around your health, work or family commitments.

How your appointment works

Before your appointment

You will receive instructions for joining your session. Choose a quiet, private place and allow a few minutes beforehand to check your device and internet connection.

During your appointment

For therapy, your first session provides space to discuss what brings you to Inflori, what you would like support with and your goals.

For assessments, the appointment process will depend on the assessment you are undertaking. You will receive information about what to expect and how to prepare.

If you have technical difficulties

Let Inflori know if you have trouble connecting. If the connection drops during a session, Kylie can discuss how best to continue.

What you will need

  • A computer, tablet or phone with a camera and microphone.
  • A reliable internet connection.
  • A private space where you can speak freely.
  • Headphones, if they help you hear clearly or feel more comfortable.

You do not need a formal office setting. The aim is a space where you can comfortably take part.

Making online appointments work for you

If you have sensory, communication or accessibility needs, you are welcome to share these before your appointment.

You can also let Kylie know if video calls feel unfamiliar or uncomfortable. Together with Kylie, you can discuss what would help you participate.

Questions about telehealth

Can I attend from anywhere in Australia?

Yes. Inflori offers online appointments Australia-wide, including metropolitan, regional and rural areas.

Are therapy and assessments both available online?

Yes. Inflori offers therapy and autism and ADHD assessments via telehealth. Suitability and the appointment process can be discussed when you enquire.

Young children are assessed through video appointments with parental involvement. Videos provided by parents also help inform the assessment, offering opportunities to observe the child’s behaviour and interactions in everyday settings.

How do I keep my appointment private?

Choose somewhere you are unlikely to be overheard or interrupted. Headphones may help, and it is best to avoid public spaces or shared areas.

If finding a private space is difficult, please discuss this with Inflori before your appointment.

What does an appointment cost?

Visit the fees page for current information. If you have questions about referrals, rebates or assessment costs, please ask before booking.
